Fall Break 2017

On Friday, Oct 13th, we left for Southern California just after school was out. We made it to Las Vegas the first night, and drove on into Anaheim on Saturday. We purchased a Southern California pass, which is 3 days in Disneyland, and 1 day in Legoland and Seaworld. After we picked up the pass at Disneyland, we started to drive to Seaworld, but the traffic was so bad, we decided to go to the beach instead. We spent the afternoon at Dana Point and played. After the beach, we headed back up to La Miranda, which is above Anaheim for the night. We got dinner at In-N-Out Burger, which was across the street, then walked back to our hotel and watched Harry Potter - Prisoner of Azkaban.

The next morning, we went to Disneyland. We spent the next two days there and had a very enjoyable time. The park was busy, but we were able to do what we wanted to do. Jair got to ride Radiator Racers and the Matterhorn Bobsleds for the first time. He loved them both. We rode them multiple times. On Monday night, we drove down to Northern San Diego near the Temple. For the next two days, we stayed at the Marriot in La Jolla for Dad's quarterly business review while Momma and the Boys went to the beach, played, and watched movies.

On Thursday, we headed back to Disneyland early and did our Early Morning entry. We were able to go on the Haunted Mansion and the bobsleds multiple times. We had a great day. After the park closed, we drove back down to Carlsbad and stayed the night in Vista.

On Friday morning, we went to Legoland, and on Saturday, we wen tot SeaWorld. Both parks were not busy and we were able to go on all of the rides and events that we wanted to go to. We had a great experience in both parks and after, we determined that we will go back to both parks. The trick-or-treating in SeaWorld was great. It was not a lot of candy, but the Halloween theme at both parks was fun. At around 5 PM, we left SeaWorld and drove straight to Las Vegas. On Sunday morning, we got up early and drive home. We arrived home at around 3 PM. All in all, it was a great trip. It wasn't too tiring for Mom and Dad, and it was a truly enjoyable family vacation.

Sept 2017 (Taycen 7 Jair 5)

The Friday after school started, we headed to Midway for Swiss Days. It was a short stay since the boys weren't very interested in boutique shopping, but we did have some good food and treats. We drove on up to Evanston and stayed the night, then on Saturday morning, we went to the Mountain Man Rendezvous. Dad started putting up our permanent LED holiday lights in anticipation for Halloween.
