We have been in the house for about three weeks now and the water pressure is horrible. Dad measured it and we only have 45 lbs. It takes about 45 minutes for Mom or fill the big tub so Jair and I can take baths. OK, Jair can't bathe with me yet, but soon. It took a long time for Dad to figure out the general location of the water main. The contractors that finished the basement put the walled over the water main valve and pressure regulator, so there were no indications of where it is. He even went around to some of the other homes being built in the area to see where their water main shutoff valves were located, the height of the valves, and what they looked like. When he had a good idea of where the valve was, he cut a small hole in the call downstairs and there was nothing there. He felt around in the call and thought that he felt something, so he put a camera in there to see what it was. He was relieved when he discovered that it was the valve. Once he found the valve, and opened up the wall, he did some research online to figure out how to adjust the water pressure. Now we have 65 lbs. of pressure and everything water related is now much better.
The small hole on the right was the first exploratory hole.
Here is the water main valve and water pressure regulator.
We finally have good water pressure and access to the main water valve!
New house: 2 Weeks
New baby: 1 Week
New Job: 7 Months
Back in Utah: 6 Months
There are now four of us. Taycen is getting used to having a new little brother around the house. He is been very good about his little brother and has not really had any jealousy issues. He calls the baby "my baby" and is very protective of him. Every time the baby crys he says " is the baby crying?" on a couple of occasions, when the baby has been in his crib on the other side of the house, he has alerted us that the baby is crying and needs attention. We sure love our boys!
My little alarm clock is set for 10 PM, 12 AM, 2 AM, 4 AM, 6 AM and 8 AM
We remember Taycen at this age and reflect on how both of our little buys are so sweet and precious. It is so nice have a little more knowledge of what to expect and what routines work best on this second go around. We still have the thoughts and fears in the middle of the night and early morning that he not breathing, or something is wrong, so we get up to check on him a lot. Taycen has been such a big helper these past couple of days.
We had been wanted to get a large stuffed animal for the boys and during the Valentine's Day season the right one came along. We are so proud of Taycen for welcoming his baby brother into him home and life. He is such a great big brother.
Today was a big day. Jair was circumcised and Aunt Beth, Hunter, Lexie, and Kalie came to visit Natalie and Jair in the hospital. Grandma and Grandpa Yockey came over to the house and stayed with Taycen while Joe went to pick up Natalie and the baby. We were moving fast and were all tired, so we didn't get a lot of pictures. When we got home, Taycen got to hold his little brother for a little longer.
