August was hot, just like the rest of the summer. We spend a lot of times indoors. We went to the movie theater for the first time as family with Sissy and Jess. Near the end of the month, we received the sad news that Uncle Steve had died in a farming accident on his ranch in McKinnon, Wyoming.
Taycen got to play at Grandma's house a lot with
Paisley, Jocelyn, and McCade.
Jair and Cambry just chilled.

Nanny and Papa were visiting and we were able to get
a photo of both families.
On Monday, Aug 27th, Papa and Dad had gone to return some stuff at the store. When we returned to our house in Riverton, Mom had received a call from Uncle Paul with the news that Uncle Steve had passed away. Dana, Uncle Steve's son had tried to call Papa a couple of times but could not reach him. Papa called Dana and talked to him. Dana was gave Papa more details surrounding his passing. Although his loss was extremely sad, there was an overwhelming feeling of his love for all of us. There was also an overwhelming feeling that it was his time and that he had been called over to the other side because the Lord needed him. He left us with not only peace, but loving memories of a second father who had a great love for life, family, and community. His sense of humor, and a great laugh will live with us forever.

We all went to Aunt Robin and Uncle Bills house on Saturday, the day
after the funeral. It was a good family reunion and it was fun to have
all of the Aunts and Uncles together and talk about old times.
Taycen enjoyed playing and rolling down
the hill with his cousins.
