Disneyland! 1st week of October 2012

During the first week of October, we went on vacation to California. Nanny Wilkinson came with us and we had a great time. We went to Laguna and Newport beaches, then we went to Disneyland. We stayed in the Anaheim Plaza Hotel. On Tuesday, Oct. 2nd, we went to Mickey's Halloween Party. They closed the park early for general admission, and at 3 PM we entered the park and partied with Mickey until midnight. They had trick-or-treat booths set up all throughout the park and we filled our back pack full of candy. We all had a great time and we can't wait to do it again!

We stopped in Vegas for a short break on the way.
We stopped to see the seasonal decorations and the
fountains at the Bellagio. The boys needed a chance to run
around and we also needed gas a potty breaks.

We walked around and Taycen and Jair enjoyed being out of the car.

Taycen climbed and played

and scream when the water started to dance.

This was Taycen's first walk in sand along the beach

he wanted to walk..

and walk

and play,

and play. He was unhappy when it was time to leave.

Jair stayed with Nanny in the shade on a bench while
Mom, Dad, and Taycen played on the beach and in the water.

Taycen was a little scared of the waves after
they washed over his feet and up his legs.

On the morning of Monday, Oct 1st, we had breakfast
and prepared to enter the park for the first time.

They boys were so excited to go to Disneyland!

We went to the new "Cars Land" in California Adventure first.
Taycen was so excited to see all of this favorite Cars characters.

It was so fun to see the characters driving
around and posing for photos.

Taycen rode the Bugs' Life bumper cars

and we all got to see Sully and Mike.

We all needed a short break, so it was restful
to wait line to see the Aladin performance,

which was one of Jair's favorite things.

One of the boys favorite rides were the Carousels in
California Adventure and in Fantasy Land.

By the end of the first day, the boys were completely
worn out. It was also a lot hotter than we were
expecting. The days high was over 100 degrees.

The next day was Tuesday, Oct 2nd, Mickey's Halloween
Party. We entered the park at 3 PM in the afternoon and
watched a Disney parade. Taycen quickly make friends with
everyone near him.

We trick-or-treated and saw of of our favorite characters.

Big hugs to those that we love the most.

We all rode on Dumbo

Taycen met a little boy dressed as Peter Pan and they
played and talked while Momma was feeding Jair.

As the night progressed, we put Taycen into his Woody pajamas.

Woody and Jesse were so happy to see us!

The next day we spent some time at the Tarzan treehouse

The cheetah roared and frightened Taycen.

Taycen found some long leaves and called then Dumbo's feather

more nighttime fun!

On Oct 4th, Taycen's birthday, we found
Goofy and he got big hugs!

We also had a lot of fun in Toon Town.

Taycen got to play in Chip and Dale's playhouse
and he went on his first roller coaster ride. He cried and
screamed when it was over because he wanted to do it again.

We ate well and wherever we went, the boys make new friends.

This is Sabrina, a friend that Taycen make at lunch. She
went and got a birthday badge for Taycen to make his
big day super special.

Cinderella's Fairy Godmother paid Jair a visit and

he couldn't take his eyes off of her.

More big hugs for those that we love the most.

At the Big Thunder Ranch and Petting Zoo, they had a
special setup just for Halloween including special character
 visits and activities for the kids.

Donald saw Taycen and was so happy to see him
that he grabbed his hand and walked with him.

we were also able to help conjure a villan

and Captain Hook from Peter Pan appeared.

He didn't get a hug,  but it was still exciting.

Then we went over into Cars Land to see it at night.

Taycen got to pet a baby tractor

He also got to ride the baby tactor,

then he tried to tip the baby tractor.

We rode Mater's tractor ride called Junkyard Jamboree.

Jair wanted to ride, but will have to wait until next time

We also rode Luigi's Flying Tires

We saw Stanley

and we got more pictures with Mater.

On our last day in Disneyland, we stopped to get a
picture with the giant pumpkin near the entrance.

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays!

Mom and Dad got to go on Radiator Racers a couple of time

it is now a favorite ride which Taycen and
Jair will love when they get older.

The last highlight of the trip was the Wilderness
Explore Camp in California Adventure.

We played and played

Disneyland was great!

We can't wait to do it all again.
